i accidentally went a month without blogging. sorry bloggy.
now it's september which means theres only 8 days til fashion month and it's about to become fall which means getting dressed is going to be a hell of a lot easier. i admire Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen because they dress like its fall all year round. here are a few of my favorite layered, big sunglasses, carrying everything you own looks from the pair.
The MET Costume Institute Gala was Monday Night. the theme this year was "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" and i was very excited. Unfortunately, almost everybody was a huge disappointment and hardly anyone was in McQueen, much less McQueen BY McQueen. Just about no one was dressed appropriately for a fucking gala. I guess all of their invitations must have read "PromQueen" hahahaha anyway, there were a couple looks that i did like and here they are: Beyonce in Emilio Pucci

today is world aids day which is important, but its also lingerie day which is more important.
In the afternoon i watched the Sonia Rykiel | Pour H&M event, and it was oh so parisian feminine. i am very interested in owning a lot of this shit if only for the label and for $12-$114.50 IT IS POSSIBLE In the evening I watched the Victoria's Secret show, which was something else entirely. it was billed as "THE BIGGEST NIGHT IN FASHION" lolwut. the horrible music at VS was brought to us by the black eyed peas (they didnt even play 'i got a feelin'!), and kings of leon. The things worn were mostly pointless. Marissa Miller wore a 3 million dollar bra which showed off her creepy 6 pack. but besides pretend supermodels there was also a stupid reality show competion for finding a new VSangel complete with "I'm not here to make friends"s and "this isnt the last you'll see of me"s. the last two finalists looked exactly the same except one had horrible hair (she won).
There were some nice appearances from girls like Caroline Trentini, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Dorothea Barth Jorgensen, Liu Wen, Anja Rubik, and Eniko Mihalik. Although Sonia Rykiel pour H&M was definitely the sexier® event, she didnt have any shoes like these: In fact about the only similarity the two shows had were the amount of kisses blown into the crowd/camera and boobs.
